Sandylon Plans Up To 90 Mw Pv Park In Brazil Tocantins State
Brazilian holding Sandylon Investments intends to invest BRL 450 millions (USD 142m/EUR 131.2m) to build a solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Tocantins state of between 60 MW and 90 MW.

The company will work on the project with the producer of PV modules Soliker Brasil, which is part of its group.

After a meeting with Sandylon Investments on Tuesday, deputy governor Claudia Lellis stated that the Tocantins government will support the companies for the solar project's realisation. "[Solar energy] is an excellent alternative for Brazil, and Tocantins intends to take advantage of this idea," she said.

According to a Wednesday press release, the exact location for the solar power plant is yet to be determined, based on assessments. For now the logistics and energy distribution conditions are best in Tocantins' central region.
